Twilight is hitting the road for a unique run of promotional dates! From November 7th through November 11th, one week before The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens nationally, select members of the movie’s cast along with featured soundtrack artists will make appearances in five U.S. cities.
Christina Perri, who wrote and recorded “A Thousand Years”, will join stars from the movie for a series of performances. The mini tour kicks off in Atlanta and will travel to concert venues in Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. Christina Perri (slated to play three dates), Aqualung & Lucy Schwartz and Sleeping At Last (booked for other two dates) will each perform a brief set including the song they contributed to the movie’s soundtrack.
Head over the newly launched soundtrack tab on the official Twilight Facebook page where you can exclusively preview songs from the soundtrack by The Joy Formidable, Christina Perri, The Belle Brigade, Sleeping At Last and Bruno Mars. Rolling Stone dig into the Twilight Saga Soundtracks and talk to Christina Perri, The Joy Formidable and Imperial Mammoth about their involvement with the soundtrack affects their careers.
Discussing their song “Endtapes”, Ritzy Bryan from The Joy Formidable says “I think we’re definitely going to reach people that won’t have heard of the band. That can only be a good thing.” Meanwhile, Christina Perri describes the moment she found her song “A Thousand Years” was going to be used on the soundtrack, “I really had to contain myself. I was sweating I was so excited.”

Welsh rock trio, The Joy Formidable had a little chat with MTV News about their track “Endtapes” being featured on the Breaking Dawn Soundtrack. Lead singer Ritzy reveals that she hasn’t even had a chance to watch the movie yet or read any of the books (gasp!), BUT she would be more than happy to take a trip to the movies to watch Breaking Dawn if invited.
